The print room’s tasks are essential to the business, as they will inkjet all labels and sleeves for all products leaving the factory.

The information to be printed on packaging comes partly from the sales team, regarding the price and volumes of products, and partly from the technical team regarding shelf life and batch codes in order to ensure full traceability of our products. The print room will generate and store for constant reference catalogue pages for each product, which show what labels need to be applied and what information needs to be printed on packaging.

The print room is also responsible for proofreading any new sleeve or pouch the company receives. Once the print room has checked the packaging, the technical team, the sales team and the packaging buyer will each in turn check the packaging meets every requirement.

Finally the print room produces daily label stock checks, and liaises with the Packaging Buyer and Dry Good Stores, making sure there are enough labels and sleeves in stock. If not this will be flagged up so that these can ordered.
