The range at Farne has it’s roots in the traditional production of smoked salmon, but as the company specialises in bespoke specifications for each customer the varieties are many. Salmon can be smoked from 7- 36 hours using a variety of techniques ad kilns, plus an ever changing range of woods to be used for smoking – from Oak, to Hickory and Apple. Farne products are sold under retailer brands or the Farne brand in UK and exported to Europe; countries include France, Belgium; Holland; Switzerland and Italy The featured products below represent a small range of Farne products sold in the export market.
Building on the success of the smoked salmon business; many added value products are also manufactured by Farne, again sold in the U K and throughout Europe. In addition to using smoked salmon as a basis for added value products; there has recently been a large investment to increase the size and capacity of the site to produce cooked fish – such as Hot smoked salmon flakes with honey; and Sweet chilli salmon fillets. Natural portions also feature in the Farne portfolio; currently selling in the UK.
